Week 15… what happened in week 15? This week I focused a lot on wedding stuff. I got all my table numbers made, finished some more mason jars for my centerpieces and went a little crazy with the crackle painting. I seriously have a slight addiction to this stuff! My grandmother brought down a bunch of old shelves that my grandfather made years and years ago, and I took one of mine and painted it with crackle paint. It turned out so cool! I really wanted to crackle paint everything I could get my hands on after that! But I refrained and saved the rest of it for wedding stuff.
Spent some time riding my pony, did outside chores, made some time to spend with one of my besties and even went on an offshore fishing trip with my daddy-o. This was my first offshore trip and let’s just say, I’m not a good offshore fisherwoman! I am sure it didn’t help that the ocean was horribly rough either. I guess I should try it again when there aren’t any storms traveling through. Now I have been on hundreds of boats, and even been offshore and was fine. But never have I been in these conditions. I never got sick, I just got dizzy and really tired. Might have been the Dramamine that I took, but either way, it wasn’t fun for my head. But I sucked it up and made it through the time we were out there. We only did a half day due to weather. When I got home, I took a hot bath and ended up sleeping from 4:00pm to 7:30am the next day. I couldn’t believe it!
So now we are in the single digits of weeks left. I am so anxious to have my lover home. We have planned a summer vacation to the mountains and I can’t tell you how excited I am to spend some time in the beautiful Smokey Mountains with my love and our little guy. What a perfect trip for our little family.
