So I have successfully made it through week two of this deployment. Again, this was another super busy week as I am getting closer to the benefit barrel race that I will be hosting on February 15th. I have gone non stop between getting added money sponsors, raffle donations, food donations for the cook shack, and all of the items needed to run this event. Less than two weeks left and I still have a list of things to do.
I have to give myself a little props because in between this and my full time job, I have found time to ride my horse, attend a horse show, spend time with my stepson, and even paint some of my house! Oh, and I cleaned my house from top to bottom with the exception of my bedroom and bathroom. They are clean, just not organized like the rest of the house. I am on a mission to de-clutter my whole house and be a minimalist…. well, who am I kidding, I could never be a minimalist, but I am trying to minimize things none the less.
I have been so fortunate to have the opportunity to face time with my husband several times a day while he is gone. I can thank apple for that! I knew I loved my iPhone and iPad, but never knew I would love them this much! We can even text each other as long as he has wifi with the nifty little iMessage feature. I know some people are iPhone haters, but I love mine. Especially now 🙂
So going into this third week, I will be again staying busy with the benefit. I plan on making personalized thank you cards for all of our sponsors with my lovely silhouette machine (which I love as much as my iPhone). I will be riding every chance I get, and still working that dreaded full time job all week! I’m a little upset that my money tree hasn’t bloomed with all this rain we have been having. I think I was jipped!
