A lot of spooky things happen here….

'Ghosts & Goblins' Box Sign by Primitives by Kathy on #zulilyThis coming weekend my husband and I are having our first Halloween party. We have thrown so many parties, and even themed parties, but never a Halloween party. My parent’s are huge into Halloween, so I am raiding their decorations of course. I am sure I will find plenty to work with too. I have also been purchasing items for a few months, and I am pretty sure that we are going to have a killer party decor wise! My mother and I are also collaborating on all of the party food and making everything some sort of Halloween theme. Some of it might look to real to eat though. But I am sure people will suck it up and try it anyways.

My husband and I have been going back and forth on our costume ideas. At one point we were going to be Sheldon and Amy Farrah Fowler from Big Bang Theory, but have since changed our mind. Then I wanted to be a witch and my husband was going to be the flying monkey from Wizard of Oz, but changed our mind again. But now we have come up with a new idea and our costumes are coming together nicely. I will post a new blog after revealing our costume (just in case any of our party goers are reading this).Halloween // First person to tell me the Shakespearean play this from which this quote originated from wins my respect.

We have come up with some fun ideas for the party. We are having a costume contest, and I have been making homemade trophies. I am also making a sash, tiara and crown for the Mrs. & Mr. Fox Halloween Bash award. I will be setting up my backdrop that I usually use for photos and making a photo booth with Halloween props as well. And we cannot forget about the drinks! I have taken my homemade lemonade stand and will be turning it into a liquor bar. We can’t have a party without a spooky bar to drink at!

I cannot wait to see how it all comes together! So far everyone that is coming is really getting into it. Some of my friends are making their costumes and have been working on them for weeks! I am so excited to see how they turn out. We definitely have some creative friends for sure!

To be continued…..
